The students living in the hall of residence have set up an association for self-administration. Since then, this association has been responsible for all matters relating to communal living in the hall of residence. It is managed by the executive committee, which is made up of members elected by the general assembly and the teams.
The members of the association are responsible for:
- The operation of the common rooms and key allocation
- The laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers
- Social events such as game nights, breakfasts and bar evenings
- Events such as the HaWo running event, the summer party and St. Martin’s barbecue
- Discussions with the student union about projects that have not been fully thought through
- Halls of residence football and discounted swimming tickets for the Röthelheimbad
- And many other small things such as this website
Membership
Anyone who lives in the hall of residence can become a full member, which means that anyone who moves out automatically loses their membership. So there’s no need to worry about that. In fact, you’ll have all the benefits of a full resident, as use of the common rooms is linked to membership, and you’ll also benefit from discounted laundry prices.
